The Arsenal captain will today complete his £24m move to Old Trafford after he passes a medical with a Goal.com report breaking down the financial benefits for the 29-year old.

It is believed that van Persie will earn £235,000-a-week after image rights which will see him paid £12.2m-a-year over four years, totalling £48.8m.

Add that to the total transfer fee of £24m that Arsenal will receive and United will spend around £73m on the star striker who has been told he will become the club’s number one striker.
