Man Utd Cup hero Rooney not obsessing about Ronaldo record
Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney has shrugged off the prospect of beating Cristiano Ronaldo's 42 goals record of two years ago.
United boss Sir Alex Ferguson challenged Rooney to hit 43 goals last week - and the England man was again on the mark in the Carling Cup final yesterday for his 28th of the season.
However, Rooney insisted, "The goal tally isn’t in my mind. If the goals come then that’s great but I’m focused more on winning medals."
