Man Utd cool frenzied speculation of stunning Beckham signing

Manchester United have cooled talk of re-signing David Beckham.

The Telegraph says Paul Scholes’s return, and the reasoning behind it, increased speculation within Manchester that David Beckham, who attended United’s FA Cup win at Manchester City on Sunday, was being lined up for a six-month deal at Old Trafford due to his current status as a free agent following the expiry of his LA Galaxy contract.

But that prospect was on Monday night dismissed by both United and sources close to Beckham.
