Man Utd convinced Van Gaal using them to flush out interest

Manchester United have dismissed reports of secret talks with Holland coach Louis van Gaal.

The People says on Saturday, the Reds dismissed reports from Holland that Van Gaal had held talks with chief executive Ed Woodward.

A United spokesman said: "No such meeting took place."

Privately, they believe the Dutchman, who will leave his Holland job after the World Cup, is using them as a stalking horse ahead of negotiations with Spurs.
