Man Utd to convince Steele to snub Blackburn

Manchester United are set to snap up goalkeeper coach Eric Steele ahead of Blackburn Rovers.

The Times says Steele will snub Rovers in favour of being appointed as Manchester United's new goalkeeping coach this week.

Steele, a former Manchester City goalkeeping coach, has been lined up to replace Tony Coton, even though he had agreed to assume a similar role at Ewood Park a fortnight ago. Steele left City after Mark Hughes opted to appoint Kevin Hitchcock, his former goalkeeping coach at Blackburn, in the wake of his arrival as manager.
