Manchester United have confirmed that first team coach Rene Meulensteen has left the club.
The Dutch coach has joined Mike Phelan and Eric Steele as departures from Sir Alex Ferguson's rein with the incoming David Moyes making changes to the backroom staff.
Moyes will bring in former Everton assistant Steve Round as well as first team coach Jimmy Lumdsen and goalkeeping coach Chris Woods.
"I would like to thank Sir Alex Ferguson, the owners, all colleagues, players and fans who made my time at Manchester United very special and one I will never forget," said Meulensteen.
"I wish everyone at this great football club all the best."
It is believed that Meulensteen could link up with fellow Dutchman Guus Hiddink at mega-rich Russian club Anzhi Makhachkala.
