United look set to win the race for winger Zaha after offering around £8m up front plus another £2m in add-ons.

And Sir Alex Ferguson is confident of fending off late interest from Arsenal to land one of the hottest properties outside the top flight.

Palace have insisted that whoever snaps up Zaha, 20, loans him back for the rest of the season.
