Manchester United are intensifying their pursuit of PSG striker Edinson Cavani. The Daily Star says United representatives flew to France last week to holds talks about Paris St-Germain striker Cavani.
He had told close friends he was reluctant to join United because of their recent fall from grace.
But it is understood the club believe their decision to sack David Moyes on Monday could convince Cavani to change his mind.
Uruguay star Cavani joined PSG from Napoli in a £40m deal last summer but has struggled to settle in France.
