Manchester United are disappointed with Ravel Morrison's apparent decision to leave.

The People says United's youth coaches and some senior stars are understood to have been exasperated at Morrison's attitude but he's been given the benefit of the doubt because of his talent.

He was involved in a bizarre Twitter exchange last week when he denied he had stolen a watch belonging to Rio Ferdinand and also claimed there was "no contract offer to talk about" from United.

The early Champions League exit has hit the club financially and there are suggestions United have to tighten their belts rather than hand bumper new contracts to their young stars.
