Manchester United coach Rene Meulensteen insists any late move for Inter Milan midfielder Wesley Sneijder would be welcomed by the players. The prospect of Sneijder moving to United before tomorrow night's transfer deadline has cooled with the club's young players kicking off the season so well.
Meulensteen told Voetbal International: "Sir Alex Ferguson has a tremendous confidence in our current squad, but a player of the likes of Wesley Sneijder would be suitable for us.
"I said and I repeat again: where there's a will, there is always a way, there is always a possibility.
"And if the club bought Sneijder, we could only be happy. Despite our squad being very young, we do not see why a player like Sneijder at 27 years old cannot adapt to our team.
"We will play many games, it will be a difficult season, we'll see if the club decides to buy him or not."
