Manchester United coach Rene Meulensteen says Robin van Persie has taken no time to settle at Old Trafford.

Meulensteen admits Van Persie's transfer from Arsenal was a saga, but also well worth the wait.

"He walks around the club like he's been here for five or six years and enjoys talking with guys who have here for years," said the Dutchman.

"He's always mixing with his teammates. Some players you can call selfish, but that is certainly not the case with Robin."
