Manchester United are believed to be nearing a deal for Sporting Lisbon midfielder William Carvalho.
The 21-year old Angolan-born Portugal international has been linked with the Red Devils for some time now but a summer move is looming closer after his agent Jorge Mendes was spotted being given a tour of the club's Carrington training facilities.
The Sunday People reports that Carvalho has a £37million release clause in his Sporting contract which United are prepared to meet in the next transfer window in order to secure his services.
It is believed that the deal will be finalised ahead of the 2014 World Cup which kicks off in Brazil in June for which Carvalho is striving to force his way into Paulo Bento's Portugal squad.
