Manchester United cruised to a comfortable 3-0 victory over lowly Stoke City at Old Trafford on Monday night.
First-half goals from Antonio Valencia and Anthony Martial ensured Jose Mourinho's there would be no repeat of the Boxing Day clash against Burnley.
On that night, the Clarets stunned the home crowd by taking a two-goal lead, but a disheartened Stoke outfit hardly put up the same fight.
Valencia got United's night off to a flying start after just nine minutes. The Ecuadorian, returning from injury for his first appearance since December 17, struck a rasping drive past Potters 'keeper Jack Butland from just inside the box.
Paul Pogba then set up Martial with a crisp pass which was swept home by the Frenchman from 20 yards out.
With 18 minutes remaining, Romelu Lukaku rounded off the win with his tenth Premier League goal of the season.
Speaking after the victory, United boss Jose Mourinho praised his opponents for not employing defensive tactics.
He told Sky Sports: "Stoke bought players to play football, they were not afraid to play and they created us problems in the first half."
