Manchester United insiders say former manager Sir Alex Ferguson did all he could to get Ravel Morrison on the straight and narrow. Morrison is now succeeding at West Ham United.
"There was a feeling at United that Morrison could go on to be one of the club's greatest ever players," one United source told the Daily Mail.
"He was that highly regarded by Ferguson. It was almost like he would turn a blind eye to what Morrison was getting up to.
"Ferguson knew what he had and he didn't want to let it go."
