Manchester United executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward is willing to break the world transfer record to prise Gareth Bale away from Real Madrid.
The Sunday World says United manager Louis van Gaal has made Real Madrid superstar Bale his No.1 priority in the transfer market since his arrival at Old Trafford last summer and now United are preparing a world record £100m bid to land the Welshman.
United insiders have confirmed they are going to do all they can to try and prize Bale out of Real Madrid with a mega money bid in the final week of the transfer window.
While the Spanish giants have insisted they have no intention of selling Bale this summer, United are refusing to take no for an answer as they continue to haggle with Real Madrid to sign the winger they signed from Tottenham in the summer of 2013 for £86m.
