Rayo Vallecano midfielder Michu remains a target for Manchester United.

The Daily Mail says Sir Alex Ferguson sent his brother, Martin, to run the rule over Rayo star Michu on Saturday.

Oviedo-born Michu, full name Miguel Perez Cuesta, has also attracted interest from Liverpool but United look the most serious about making a move, with Ferguson arriving in Spain at 4pm on Saturday to watch the 3-0 win over Real Betis.
