Manchester United chief David Gill has welcomed Aon on board as the company began a four-year shirt sponsorship at the club.
A programme of global charity initiatives designed to promote youth development and healthy communities are being held.
One such event took place at Old Trafford where Aon staff and their families participated in a penalty kick challenge to raise money for the Christie cancer centre.
Gill said: "This event is an indication of how Aon is committed to developing the partnership way beyond a simple commercial arrangement.
"I hope we will be able to build a tangible legacy for the Manchester United community both here in the north west and further afield."
Aon president and chief executive Greg Case added: "Based on our shared values of leadership, teamwork and a passion for excellence it is difficult to imagine a strong fit for Aon than Manchester United."
