Manchester United chief David Gill admits they're in the market for a new striker.
Gill told the Daily Express: "We've looked at it and if something comes along in another area, which is a striker, we'll see what happens.
"If anything does happen it will be in the striking department."
The news will have Tottenham and Bolton preparing themselves for bids from the champions for Dimitar Berbatov and Nicolas Anelka.
United may have to look outside the Premiership to find a strike partner for Wayne Rooney, with Barcelona men Samuel Eto'o and Javier Saviola, young Ajax star Klaas-Jan Huntelaar and Atletico Madrid's Fernando Torres have all possible targets.
