Manchester United chief David Gill has hinted Jose Mourinho would be his choice to succeed Sir Alex Ferguson. He admitted he was a big fan of Real Madrid coach Mourinho, who is one of the favourites to succeed Ferguson when the Scot eventually retires.
Gill said: "Alex is on a rolling contract.
He is on the record as saying he will continue to manage as long as he keeps fit, so, while we follow what is happening in football, I am not going to sit here today and say who we have in mind.
"We don't know what the time frame is. I am sure there are some other good managers around. He (Mourinho) is a good manager."
