England's biggest clubs are monitoring Thiago Alcantara's contract talks with Barcelona.

The teenage attacker, dubbed Spain's brightest talent by Real Madrid legend Fernando Hierro, is wanted by Manchester United, Liverpool and Chelsea, says Globoesporte.

Fabiano Farah, Thiago's agent, held a first round of contract talks with Barca last week.

Along with the interest of Premiership clubs, Thiago is also at the centre of an international tug-of-war between Spain and Brazil. Dad Mazinho is a Brazilian World Cup winner.
