Sporting Lisbon starlet Afonso Taira is being watched by Premiership clubs.

Manchester United, Chelsea, Everton and Tottenham are all posting scouts to check on the Portugal U17 international this week in Germany.

Taira's UK representative Peter Morrison confirmed the interest in his client, although he would not name specific clubs.

"We obviously cannot discuss any names, but it is fair to say there are a number of clubs very interested in Afonso Taira," he told skysports.com.
