Manchester United and Manchester City are tracking Gremio forward Everton Soares.
The 22 year-old is being watched by both Manchester giants this season.
UOL Esporte says City have been scouting Soares since he was 16-years-old but were unable to make an approach due to rulings which meant he could not leave Brazil until he was 18.
It is suggested City have been scouting the youngster ever since Pep Guardiola took over at the Etihad stadium, however Gremio's have always been reluctant to sell their star forward.
The player's recent run of form has reportedly reignited interest from City, with the club still said to be monitoring any developments in his situation.
United scouts were in attendance to watch Soares score for Gremio on Tuesday night, as the Brazilian side secured a vital 2-1 victory over Argentinian team Estudiantes in the Copa Libertadores.
