Manchester United skipper Wayne Rooney admits their focus is now fully on the derby against Pep Guardiola's Manchester City.
Next on the agenda for Rooney is the small matter of a World Cup qualifier against Slovakia in Allardyce's first game in charge.
But he admits the derby on September 10 is looming large.
“It is a game players, staff, media, fans, everyone will be looking forward to it," he said.
“It's a Manchester derby but also with Jose here and Pep Guardiola at Manchester City it's exciting for everyone and exciting to play in."
