Man Utd captain Neville frozen out since Tevez clash

Manchester United captain Gary Neville hasn't been spotted since his clash with Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez a fortnight ago.

The Sun says Neville was axed from the whole squad and did not even travel to Arsenal for Sunday's clash. He escaped FA punishment for the gesture in the Carling Cup semi-final first leg at Eastlands last month.

The United captain had wound up former team-mate Tevez by saying he agreed with boss Alex Ferguson that the player was not worth the £25m fee to keep him at Old Trafford.

Tevez responded with both City goals in the 2-1 first-leg win, celebrating in front of Neville, who responded with his gesture.

Fergie was so angry about the incident being repeated on TV he even banned the channel involved from Press conferences for showing it.
