Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal is planning a £30 million bid for Feyenoord pair Jordy Clasie and Bruno Martins Indi. The Daily Express says Van Gaal introduced midfielder Clasie and central defender Indi Martins - both 22 - to the Dutch international team in the last two years and they played a big part in securing qualification for Brazil.

Now Van Gaal is understood to want to bring them to Old Trafford to help him launch his era as United manager which will officially start in July when the World Cup is over.

The Holland boss rates Clasie a better prospect than Bayern Munich midfielder Toni Kroos and Barcelona's Cesc Fabregas.
