Manchester United are set to unveil new manager Louis van Gaal this afternoon.
The Dutchman was announced as David Moyes' successor in May but his work with the Holland national team meant he did not begin his new role until arriving at the club's Carrington training ground on Wednesday.
Van Gaal dodged the cameras at the main gate but was shown in pictures on the club's Twitter feed alongside his assistant manager Ryan Giggs and executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward.
He then met those players not on a post-World Cup break as well as the rest of the club staff.
On Friday, United will jet off to the USA on their pre-season tour, where they will play matches against the Los Angeles Galaxy, Roma, Inter Milan and Real Madrid.
