Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal has heaped praise on Hull City supporters following the club's relegation to the second tier of English football.
The Tigers needed to win their game against the Red Devils to have any hopes of survival but a goalless draw at the KC Stadium meant that they will be playing in the Championship next season.
"The fans of Hull City supporting their players until the end - I have never seen that in Europe," said van Gaal.
"For me it was a special day, today I am not happy because Hull with Steve Bruce have been relegated."
