Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal has explained leaving Marcos Rojo out for their victory over Liverpool.
The Argentinian had successfully returned to action following a shoulder problem in the Manchester derby, but he joined fellow defenders Chris Smalling, Luke Shaw and Rafael in missing the match against the Merseysiders.
The manager told MUTV: "He [Rojo] felt something yesterday, and I didn't want to take a risk. If a player is complaining about a knock, I ask whether or not they want to play, and that's the end of it. So, I played Phil Jones today."
