Man Utd boss van Gaal cops FA charge

The Football Association have released a statement regarding Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal.

The Dutch tactician has been charged by the FA concerning comments he made after United's 0-0 FA Cup fourth round draw with Cambridge United on Friday, January 23.

The statement on the FA's official website read: "It is alleged that the Manchester United manager's comments allege and/or imply bias on the part of the match referee and/or bring the game into disrepute.

"He has until 6pm on Monday 9 February 2015 to respond to the charge."

United were held by the League Two club at Abbey Stadium but the replay on Tuesday night saw the Premier League side progress to the fifth round with a 3-0 victory at Old Trafford.
