Man Utd boss Van Gaal confirms Tyler Blackett to see Swansea action

Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal has confirmed Tyler Blackett is likely to play against Swansea City today.

Blackett is yet to make his Premier League debut for United.

When asked if he will change the 3-5-2 formation for the visit of Swansea City for the Barclays Premier League opener, in the wake of some injury problems, he replied: "No, because I have instilled that within these players. It is easier to continue than to change.

"I think Tyler Blackett has played when Jonny Evans was fit. It is my philosophy. At that position, we need a left-central defender so maybe that is the youth of today.

"I have three creative players in the team. Maybe on Saturday, I will have two and a half, but I have three creative players. But we can also do it as a team. The philosophy can also make more creation because of how we play. We did it with the Dutch team and we can do it also with Manchester United, but it takes time."
