Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal has announced Paddy McNair has penned a new deal.

The Ulsterman's previous contract was due to expire in June.

Doubts have been growing over his future but the Dutch boss has moved to clear up the situation.

Van Gaal said: "Paddy McNair, now, is coming from out of the youth, he has extended his contract, so he is a Manchester United player."
