Louis van Gaal felt his Manchester United side were good value for a win on Saturday.
The Red Devils, who had won six-straight in the Premier League, drew 1-1 with Aston Villa at Villa Park in a match which saw Gabby Agbonlahor controversially sent off with just over 25 minutes remaining.
Christian Benteke opened the scoring for Villa in the 18th minute with a fine curling effort before Radamel Falcao headed home Ashley Young's 53rd-minute cross to give United a share of the points but van Gaal was of the belief that his side deserved more.
"When you're the better team you have to win," the Dutch tactician told MUTV.
"It's always important not to lose but I'm frustrated because we gave two points away."
However, van Gaal was delighted for Monaco loanee Falcao who scored just his second league goal for the Old Trafford outfit.
"It was a fantastic goal. I'm very happy for him," he added.
