Man Utd boss Moyes won't panic in January window

Manchester United manager David Moyes insists he won't be forced into making frenzied decisions in the winter transfer window.

The reigning Premier League champions were beaten 3-1 by Chelsea on Sunday to fall 14 points behind league leaders Arsenal but Moyes says the club will not look to bring in new faces simply because of their current situation.

"Not because of results," he told Sky Sports.

"The club know exactly what we want to do and the direction we want to go and the type of players we want to bring to the club and a lot aren't available in this window. If we could get any of them we would do, we are trying but more than likely most people know it is difficult.

"I think the club have always said it is long-term, we know there is a job to be done and we have an idea of players we would like to bring in and we would like them now, but more than likely won't be."
