Manchester United boss David Moyes is eager to work with Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric. The People says Moyes has been making discreet enquiries about the Real Madrid star, who would cost around £24million.

And that will put him on a collision course with incoming Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho, who is said to want to bring the Croatia playmaker with him when he moves from the Bernabeu to Stamford Bridge.

Moyes is a big admirer of Modric who was also a target for retired United boss Sir Alex Ferguson.
