Manchester United boss David Moyes will do what he can to bring Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba back to Old Trafford.
The Manchester Evening News says Pogba is said to have a £40m release clause in his contract at Juventus. But they will fight to keep hold of the youngster who is a regular in the side who are storming ahead at the top of Serie A.
Moyes asked Juve about Pogba on Sunday, but the Turin giants have no plans to sell this month.
Bianconeri GM Beppe Marotta said: "Our aim is to consolidate the group, we do not want to sell him, but certain assessments must be made later."
The last message could leave a way open for the Reds but they would have to consider a huge transfer fee for the player they allowed to leave for nothing.
