Manchester United boss David Moyes would love to sign Porto defender Eliaquim Mangala.
The People says Moyes has made the signing of a new centre-back his priority.
His first-choice target is Mangala, a highly-rated 22-year-old who plays for FC Porto.
The United boss watched Mangala in Porto's Champions League game at Atletico Madrid last week.
But the Frenchman is also a major target for Chelsea, as People Sport reported earlier this season.
Jose Mourinho hopes to land Mangala as a long-term replacement for John Terry and the Blues are willing to match Porto's £35million valuation.
So too are United, but Moyes wants other options in case the French youngster decides on a move to Stamford Bridge.
