Manchester United boss David Moyes was at Selhurst Park yesterday to see Tottenham defeat Crystal Palace.

Moyes sat in the stands next to Premier League chief executive Richard Scudamore just days after blasting the league for United's tough start to the season.

United have also been linked with a move for Spurs forward Gareth Bale, but the Spurs star was not playing due to a foot injury.

But it was not a wasted trip as Moyes' side will come up against Ian Holloway's Crystal Palace at Old Trafford on September 14 so the new United boss was at Selhurst Park to run the rule over the newcomers.
