Manchester United boss David Moyes says Adnan Januzaj has the talent of Wayne Rooney.
The youngster struck twice against Sunderland on his full Premier League debut yesterday.
"I gave Wayne Rooney his debut at 16. I gave Ross Barkley his debut at 16. Adnan is that little bit older but he is up there with those boys," said Moyes.
"The boy's performance today showed what he is capable of, not just his goals but his passing and movement, too.
"He's of that quality, a top, top player, he's going to be a special talent. I would have played him a few weeks ago but he had a minor injury and I didn't want to take a risk with it.
"He's going to be a great talent, a special talent. But we won't let him get away from himself. He was in the reserves last Monday and we'll keep his feet on the ground."
