Manchester United boss David Moyes says it was important he fronted up for yesterday's media conference.
Traditionally, managers often duck the pre-match Capital One Cup press conference, with many sending their assistants to face the media.
But just 48 hours after the debacle against Manchester City, Moyes felt it was right to face the flak himself.
"It was important I took the punches. I will keep taking the punches and I am happy to do that," he said.
"Not for a minute did I think this United job was going to be an easy job. There will be days like we had on Sunday."
