Manchester United boss David Moyes is eyeing Southampton midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin.

The Mirror says Moyes has detailed scouts to monitor the French player , who is a candidate to represent England after completing five years of residency.

Schneiderlin has been outstanding for Saints in the two seasons since they returned to the Premier League and Moyes is believed to see him as the sort of holding midfield player United need.

Provided he keeps his job, Moyes has a huge transfer kitty to spend this summer and will be looking to bring in several players - prioritising a left-back, two central defenders and a midfield schemer.
