Man Utd boss Moyes expecting more twists as Premier League season progresses

Manchester United manager David Moyes suggests there will be more and more surprises as the 2013/14 Premier League season rolls on.

United produced their biggest triumph of the season thus far when they knocked off league leaders Arsenal 1-0 at Old Trafford on Sunday, putting them right back in the title race.

The win came on a bizarre weekend which saw Manchester City and Tottenham both beaten and Chelsea held to a draw while Liverpool and Southampton both produced victories.

The league table is the most open it has been in years with just five points separating top-placed Arsenal and seventh-placed Spurs and Moyes feels there is a lot more to come in terms of twists and turns.

"I didn't think in the Premier League that anyone had run away with it," he told Sky Sports.

"I think there are a lot of ups and downs and I think it is a close run league this year and there will be a few shocks and we have had one or two ourselves in the early part of the season.

"I am pleased we are showing a bit more consistency and momentum and hopefully we can continue that."
