Manchester United boss David Moyes defended his changes during their draw with Southampton.
Moyes substituted a flagging Wayne Rooney with Chris Smalling just before Southampton's late equaliser at Old Trafford.
"I didn't think that at all," Moyes bristled over claims of being too cautious.
"It was only in the last three or four minutes when I was trying to make sure we had height at set-pieces, and then we actually lost a goal from a set-piece."
