Manchester United boss David Moyes was asked about a rumoured failed bid for Gareth Bale after victory over Crystal Palace yesterday.
Moyes wouldn't be drawn on renewed rumours that United bid £125milion for Real Madrid's new world-record signing Bale before the transfer window closed.
He said: "I won't confirm anything - the window is now closed. And it was not our best window.
"But Manchester United will always be in for the best players in the world."
