Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is keen on Napoli attacker Dries Mertens.

Il Mattino says United have made their move this week, sounding out Napoli and the Belgium international about a summer move to Old Trafford.

Mourinho sees Mertens as a replacement for Anthony Martial, who has instructed his agents to find him a new club.

While contracted to the Azzurri until 2020, Mertens' deal carries a €28m buyout clause.

The striker has scored 21 goals in all competitions this season.
