Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is willing to send Anthony Martial away in a swap for Borussia Dortmund winger Christian Pulisic.

The Mirror says Martial is surplus to requirements at United after a disappointing third season, with boss Jose Mourinho having sanctioned the France forward's exit this summer.

Dortmund's versatile forward Pulisic has emerged as one of the most sought-after young players in Europe and could form part of a player-plus-cash swap deal involving Martial.

The £40million-rated Pulisic has also caught the eye of Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal, but United have now turned their attention to him, with Martial being used as a potential makeweight.

Pulisic can play as a winger or through the middle, and has impressed in three seasons at Dortmund, his pace and ability to beat opponents marking him out as a future world star.
