Man Utd boss Mourinho: Why I rejected Spain, Italy offers

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho admits he had offers to return to Spain and Italy this year.

However, speaking with Nature, the former Real Madrid and Inter Milan coach said he only wanted to remain in the Premier League.

"I could go to Italy and also to Spain, but the Premier League has something special. Here all the teams want to be competitive, not like in other countries where the big always leave the small back.

"In England, the opposite occurs. Here they want all clubs to be competitive."

Mourinho added: "It's a bit stupid, sometimes even arrogant to set goals. But the dumbest thing of all is to not want to win every game, every competition. It is impossible but it is a good starting point to establish and set goals for the players.

"We play to win every game."
