Spanish outlet Don Balon are leading with the claim that Manchester United will make a heavy push to sign Toni Kroos in the summer.

Kroos is a player who could have joined United under Louis van Gaal, but the manager reportedly turned down that transfer. Now he is wanted by Mourinho.

And Don Balon claim that Mourinho is such a huge fan of Kroos for two reasons.

Mourinho sees Kroos as the type of player who could go into midfield with Paul Pogba and Nemanja Matic, and offer qualities those two do not possess.

He also sees Kroos as a signing the club must make if they want to bridge the massive gap to Premier League leaders Manchester City.
