Manchester United have offered new terms to Michael Carrick.
Sky Sports says manager Jose Mourinho wants to keep the former England international and will offer him a one-year deal to ensure he stays.
Carrick has been at Manchester United since 2006, when Sir Alex Ferguson splashed out £18million to sign him from Premier League rivals Tottenham.
During his 11 years at Old Trafford the 35-year-old has won every trophy available to him - completing the set in the club's 2-0 Europa League final win over Ajax in Stockholm.
Carrick was left on the bench as Paul Pogba pulled the strings in the middle of the park, with Marouane Fellaini and Ander Herrera also deployed alongside the £89million man.
