Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is weighing up who to make next season's captain.
Mourinho has been inundated by mail urging him to give the job to 27-year-old Ander Herrera, who was presented with the Supporters' Player of the Year honour by fans at the glitzy end-of-season awards dinner.
The Mirror says Mourinho believes it's time to hand the honour to a player who will start the majority of matches next season.
Veteran Michael Carrick wore the armband on occasions last term, as did Chris Smalling, Ashley Young, Antonio Valencia and Marouane Fellaini.
But Herrera is a leading contender as Mourinho reckons that world-record buy Paul Pogba, 24, needs at least another season to bed in before inheriting the armband.
