Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho sees Atletico Madrid goalkeeper Jan Oblak as the ideal replacement for David de Gea.
The Daily Star says Mourinho has sent scouts to watch Oblak this season amid fears De Gea will be lured back to his native Spain this summer.
United are desperate to keep De Gea at Old Trafford, but know his lifelong dream is to play for the European champions.
Oblak made his Benfica debut at the age of 17 and was part of the team that won the domestic treble in 2014.
He became the most expensive keeper in La Liga history when he joined Atletico for £16m in 2014.
